THERE IS SO MUCH TO CHASE⁣ ⁣ It’s coming to the inevitable point in the year where all of us will begin casting an eye toward what we want to achieve in 2019.⁣ ⁣ Professionally, personally, physically…there’s a lot to consider over the next few weeks.⁣ ⁣ So, when you do come to sit down & think about your health & fitness goals for the New Year, I want to get one thing straight…⁣ ⁣ Fat loss is not, nor should it ever be, a lifestyle.⁣ ⁣ That is not to say that it isn’t a valuable goal to have, or angle to pursue, but it should not be the all consuming aspect of your journey.⁣ ⁣ Continuously grinding away, without any other considerations, will lead to massive burnout as the process starts to become all-consuming. This in turn results in subpar effort from resenting what you are after & subpar results due to not being able to give it your 100% all of the time.⁣ ⁣ If you are working towards fat loss, I encourage you to focus on it for a specific block of time & then switch your attention to something else for a similar period, to then return again further down the line.⁣ ⁣ There’re so many possibilities beyond those constraints. There are so many things to learn, love & develop - from getting stronger, to improving your fitness, to increasing the quality of your day-to-day life through being able to function in a more complete way.⁣ ⁣ For me, that’s the beauty of developing your fitness – it provides freedom to engage in new or challenging activities. Our capacity can be a limiting factor when trying new things, but with an improved base-level of fitness, the easier it is to learn & develop skills when trying something new.⁣ ⁣ Who knows what you could unlock within yourself as a result of looking at things from a different point-of-view? 🔬⁣ ⁣ It can be easy to get wrapped up in fat loss, but there is so much more to life. So even if you do choose to pursue it, remember that it is not the be-all-&-end-all.⁣ ⁣ So whilst you work out your plan of attack for 2019, broaden your horizons…⁣ ⁣ Fat loss may be a chapter, but it doesn’t have to be the start, beginning, end & whole plot of your story! 📚

Ich will das Wochenende und den leckeren Brunch von Sonntag zurück 🤤😍 anlässlich des Geburtstages von meinem Freund hatten wir die ganze Familie zu Besuch ❤ ich habe zusammen mit meinem Freund seit um 7 in der Küche gestanden und alles mögliche zum Brunch zubereitet (verschiedene Blätterteigschnecken, Frikadellen, Hähnchenkeulen, Guacamole, Thunfisch-Aufstrich, Gemüse, Rührei, Bacon, jede Menge Wurst, Käse und Fisch, ...). Dazu dann frische Brötchen vom Bäcker, etwas Laugengebäck und natürlich darf der Joghurt mit verschiedenen Müsli nicht fehlen 🙈 ist wie immer viel zu viel gewesen aber alle waren begeistert und es hat einfach so so gut geschmeckt!! I posted this on my story a few days ago, but whatever 😂 - This picture was taken on Sunday. I was having a blast catching up with old friends in Dallas for a weekend getaway and felt extremely happy. But, now it’s Wednesday, and I feel the furthest thing from happy... 🤷🏻‍♀️ - Stress is hitting me hardcore. My job is causing the majority of this stress. What else is new?! I’m working my butt off and while I’ve made great progress in my first 3 months of working at my job, I need to push myself harder. I can motivate myself very easily in all aspects of life - whether that’s the gym, work, etc. If I say I’m going to do something, I’m 85% likely I will follow through and do it. So, I just need to keep pushing harder to step up to the plate with work. Does that mean even more stress than I already feel? Most likely yes 🤷🏻‍♀️ - But...the great thing about working out is that it gives me a time to let go (somewhat) of my stress 😊Even if I feel like I don’t have time to work out, I know I’ll always make the effort to get to the gym because it’s important to me - Sorry this is an all over post, hot mess here 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope this post shows that it’s not all sunshine and rainbows and that we can encourage each other to push through the rough patches
